You’ve decided you want to #PowerToZero and booked in your free Fischer Future Heat survey, but what happens now?
One of our most commonly asked questions is “What happens during a survey?” So we decided to break it down into five simple steps.
At Fischer Future Heat, all of our pricing is calculated by one of our trained heating advisors during a free home survey. We understand that choosing to lower your heating emissions isn’t a ‘one size fits all’ job.
By offering this free, no-obligation survey, our heating advisors can take into account any heat losses, cold spots or things that may impact the level of heating you require. We want to make sure you get the right product for your home and will leave you feeling comfortable and most importantly…warm!
So, while you are awaiting the big day of the survey, take a look through this handy guide.
Step 1 – Understanding Your Needs
Once our advisor arrives, at the time and date you discussed with our friendly appointment makers, they will first try to gain an understanding of exactly what you need.
Whether it’s a brand new heating system for the whole house, an air source heat pump or a new hot water system, our advisor can advise you once we know your requirements.
The heating advisor will also show you more about the product, including images, samples, optional extras and our exclusive wireless thermostat.
Step 2 – Measurements
Once our heating advisor sits down with you and understands your needs, they will take time to accurately measure each individual room you wish to heat with Fischer’s 40mm HeatCore Radiators (or the cupboard space if you enquired about the Aquafficient/Electric Boilers). They will take into account the length, width, and ceiling height of the room and calculate from those figures, the exact kilowatts of heating each room needs to be heated efficiently.
Our heating advisor will also look for, and take into account, any heat losses, vents, cold spots, or cold areas to make sure your room stays toasty and warm if you choose to install the Fischer system.
They will even ask you exactly where you would like to install each heater. You will also be advised on what they believe would be best, based on their vast experience in the heating industry.
Step 3 – Explaining the quotation
Now our heating advisors know exactly what you need based on their measurements, observations, and calculations and your personal preferences.
They will show you our price list so that you can understand the cost of the Fischer products they’ve recommended such as Electric Boilers, Aquafficients and Heat Pumps
Once you have had a look through, they will provide you with the price for the products you require, along with the dimensions and specifications. They will also highlight and discuss with you the optional extras we can provide and the cost of doing so.
Step 4 – Your Decision
The price has been discussed, the measurements have been taken and the system has been explained to you. Now, the decision is up to you!
If you choose to go ahead with an order, our heating advisor will discuss the options moving forward and put everything in place for your brand-new Fischer products to be manufactured and subsequently installed.
Don’t worry – If you need more time to think about the decision, or would rather not proceed, our heating advisor will leave you with his contact details and a written copy of the quote and you can always get in touch in your own time.
It’s up to you how you would like to proceed and you are under no obligation to do anything you don’t want to.
Step 5 – What Happens in Delivery and Installation
If you have chosen to go ahead with an order, you will be contacted to arrange an installation date and time, which fits in with you.
Our fully qualified electricians/plumbers will install your new system and fully explain how everything works, ensuring you are ready to use the Fischer system through the colder months.
Following the installation, our friendly customer service representatives and knowledgeable technical support team will be on hand to answer any questions you may have.
Now that you understand what happens during the survey, why not request a free catalogue and start your journey with Fischer Future Heat!
