Having always been a fan of traditional electric storage heating, when Terry Hannan moved to a retirement apartment, not only did he lose his preferred method of heating – he gained much higher bills.
Fast-forward four years, and Terry began to consider the changes he would be able to make to upgrade his heating and hot water system, taking into consideration he was not able to change the underfloor heating system already in place.
He had been unhappy with the hot water system for some time, as not only did it heat water during the night, its large 60-gallon capacity was taking up valuable space in his one-bedroom apartment.
Following an initial approach to Fischer, a site visit was made to review the options available to him and he decided to purchase an Aquafficient hot water system.
“As soon as I had the initial discussion with the Fischer team, I knew it made total sense to change the system in place to an alternative hot water system. The existing monthly costs were high and with the boiler taking up so much room, moving to the Fischer system was the right decision.
“I wanted an efficient set up that would be reliable and stress-free, which is exactly what has been delivered with the Fischer Aquafficient water heater. I no longer lie awake at night worrying about the sound of water boiling and the cost of it. I don’t even have to pay a maintenance fee, saving me £8 a month alone.”
The Aquafficient delivers innovation and efficiency, heating water instantly using a single heating element and patented thermal storage technology. This eliminates the need for a large water storage tank, with the water instead produced from stored heat energy within a unique phase change material.
Terry concludes:
“Without hesitation I would recommend Fischer and its products, personally being so thrilled with the new water heater. It’s efficient, quiet and I now have so much more space which is a real bonus in such a small apartment. I have hot water on tap and don’t have to worry about huge bills. The Aquafficient really is a great alternative to a gas boiler.”
