Picture it now – the sun is shining, the kids are off school and you’re sunbathing in the garden while looking at options for replacing your boiler. Not exactly how most of us picture our summer, but believe it or not, summer is the best time to replace your boiler.
It is going to take at least a full day to replace your boiler, so it makes no sense to lose a day of heating in winter when you need it the most.
However, there are plenty of other reasons to replace your boiler this summer, rather than waiting for the cold weather to return. Here are 5 reasons to change your boiler in summer.

While your boiler is being replaced, you won’t be able to use your heating system, so it makes perfect sense to have it replaced on a warm summer’s day when it doesn’t matter if your heating works or not!
If you leave it to the last minute, chances are you won’t have enough time to properly plan your boiler replacement.
In summer, you have a good three months to get everything in place, and to make sure you choose the right boiler for your property.
It’s no secret that boiler engineers are run off their feet in winter, as people’s boilers break down and need replacing in the coldest months of the year. For this reason, it can be extremely difficult to get hold of a boiler engineer in winter for a boiler repair, let alone a completely new boiler installation.
In summer, boiler engineers are quieter. Most people have their boilers switched off through summer, so it’s not until October comes back around that their workload picks up.
For this reason, replacing your boiler in summer may lead to quicker installation times, and may even save you a few pounds in the process.
