Independently Tested

Warmth, Comfort & Efficiency

We have commissioned three independent tests to compare our dynamic clay core radiators to night storage heaters. The tests were conducted by the Building Research Establishment (BRE), the Energy Saving Trust (EST) and the Building Services Research and Information Association (BSRIA). In the tests conducted by BRE and EST, our dynamic clay core heaters were tested against night storage heaters to compare efficiency, consumption and running cost. During the BRE test, our electric heaters were tested with Dimplex Quantum storage heaters, Creda storage heaters and a typical gas boiler/radiator central heating installation. The Energy Savings Trust performed a 'before and after' test. It was conducted as a field trial, and the efficiency of the home's existing night storage system was evaluated. The night storage heaters were then replaced with Fischer radiators for comparison purposes.

Building Services Research & Information Association

“The total power input to the Fischer electric radiator during the 16 hour test period was 14.05kWh, therefore the Fischer radiator uses 14.05kWh over 16 hours = 0.87kW per hour.”

Building Research Establishment

“The temperature control within the apartment varied considerably from system to system. The most precise temperature control is maintained by the Fischer dynamic clay core radiators.”

Energy Saving Trust

“Householders appeared to require a lower average indoor temperature and be able to maintain a more consistent temperature, suggesting increased levels of comfort.”
